“Working with people to help people is my passion!”

Hi there! My name is Priscila! I’m an UX Designer and an illustrator from Brazil that is currently residing in the Netherlands!

I’m a curious person who loves to learn new and different things – from random facts to historical facts, management stuff, artistic skills, you name it – to enrich my base knowledge and help myself or other projects when “thinking outside the box” is needed. I absolutely enjoy teamwork and to give opportunities for the whole team to shine, sometimes voluntarily taking the lead role myself. I love new challenges, since those improve my learning process, and do my best in healthy competitions against myself to show that today I am better than yesterday. I consider myself a creative and artistic person, since I engage in a lot of creative and art related activities, such as drawing, playing instruments and writing stories.
My love for working with people and for people started back when I was in university, when I was part of a junior enterprise – a non-profit consultancy firm consisting of students from college – and placed in human resources because of my empathy for people (according to the feedback I got from the interviewers). During that time, I also developed management skills, which lead me to be a co-manager of an event for 300-400 people. It was fun!

How did I get into UX Design?

The events sector was heavily affected by the pandemic, so working in that area was out of question. Since I don’t like to stand still, I decided to go look for something different to learn. I heard about UX Design, so I decided to see what it was about. The definition of “UX Design” wasn’t very clear to me at first, but I found it interesting enough to get into a course to learn more about this field. And then I fell in love with it! A job where I listen to people – clients and users, work with them and create the best solution for both parties. A job where I can put my creativity and curiosity into action, and where I need to search for old and new things to get the best answers.

My design process is simple: listen to what the client wants. Learn what the users need. Collect all the evidence necessary to design the best user-centered product and test it to prove its efficiency. Repeat the cycle, because the improvement can never stop.
